Title: Artificial Intelligence Promotes the Inheritance and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Abstract: Both Chinese medicine and artificial intelligence have become one of the national strategies, and the combination of thees two is conducive to the rapid development of Chinese medicine. At present, artificial intelligence and traditional Chinese medicine have cooperated in many fields and achieved certain results. However, the biggest problem of traditional Chinese medicine is the lack of systematic inheritance. We intend to use artificial intelligence prescription system to assist clinical diagnosis and treatment, refine the clinical experience of experts, and efficiently train young doctors. Preliminary experiment based on Gaussian ridge regression algorithm was used to construct a prescription system for treating lung cancer with TCM. The preliminary model training was completed using 2955 cases of TCM lung cancer outpatient data, this big pool of data allowed the prescription output to have higher accuracy. The initial accuracy rate is reached at 62.9%, the recall rate is 80.2%, and the F1 value is 70.5. After considering the frequency of different drugs, the accuracy rate of drugs with occurrence of more than 300 times can reach 66.8%, the recall rate is 74.4%, and the F1 value is 70.3. Experts evaluation on the output prescription ( at 10 points scale), resulted to the score of greater than 8 points. At present, the accuracy rate of artificial intelligence prescription system for lung cancer is satisfactory. This traditional Chinese medicine artificial intelligence prescription system for single disease may be considered as a breakthrough for the application of artificial intelligence with TCM diagnosis and treatment. The system is expected to improve the efficiency of traditional Chinese medicine, and promote the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese medicine. In the near future, we are planning to increase the number of cases, improve the pattern of medical record extraction, and further improve the system efficiency.
